Kid Cash

While I want to teach my 4 year old the value of money, I'm not ready to turn him loose on the toy aisles of Target just yet. In the past, we've turned to sticker charts to reward him for helping out around the house so he understands the concept of earning over time but I decided to step it up a bit and start dealing in something closer to real currency. With all the work we've been doing around the house, he'd had lots of opportunities to earn his kid cash so today we sat down with our craft supplies and cranked out some bucks.

I used craft foam that I had left over from another project to create 3 inch by 5 inch rectangles. Then I stamped the value on each rectangle:

Finally I set him loose with his rubber stamps to decorate them.

  1. Encouraging children to play with educational toys like puppets fosters creativity and learning. These interactive experiences stimulate imagination, communication, and cognitive skills, shaping a brighter future.
